About Allen Lalk
Allen coaches’ youth hockey for the Meramec Sharks and high school hockey for the Columbia Eagles. On Sunday, June 1st, while working as an Uber driver, Allen was held at gunpoint and ordered to drive to his residence. Showing remarkable courage and quick thinking, Allen bravely drove to the police department to seek assistance. Sadly, upon arrival, he was shot in the face by the suspects. Allen underwent emergency surgery and is now beginning a long and difficult recovery. We are all thankful for his survival, but he and his family face substantial medical expenses and long-term recovery costs. Allen has lost his left eye and has severe damage to his right eye.
Community support
In response to a violent act, numerous friends and hockey community members have nominated Allen Lalk for financial assistance to cover medical expenses, therapy, and related burdens. Any contribution, regardless of amount, will substantially support Allen’s recovery and restoration of safety and normalcy.
